Guillermo Hernández holds a PhD in "Fundamental Physics and Mathematics" and a "Master in Intelligent Systems" from the University of Salamanca. He also holds additional degrees in the fields of Physics, Computer Science and Mathematics. His current research focuses on the areas of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing and visual analytics. He currently works on a postdoctoral contract at the University of Salamanca on self-explanatory intelligent systems.

Additionally, he has worked on the applications of laser acceleration systems for biological tissue irradiation, where he has made several contributions to fields such as radiation-matter interaction and characterization of emissions generated by ultrashort pulses. He has also worked in the field of radiation protection and shielding design.
